Jonathon B. Burford is a senior associate attorney at Kozeny & McCubbin concentrating his practice on bankruptcy law and creditors’ rights. Jon received his Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Saint Louis University. Jon worked for the Clerk of Court for the United States Bankruptcy Court – Eastern District of Missouri from 1992 until 2008. During this time, he attended law school and received his Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University. Jon served as a judicial law clerk to United States Bankruptcy Judge David P. McDonald from 2008 to 2009. Jon is a member of the Missouri Bar, Nebraska Bar and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, the Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the District of Nebraska, and the District of Kansas.

Kerry Feld is an senior associate attorney at Kozeny & McCubbin. She received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1998 and her Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University in 2002. Her primary areas of practice include real estate, title insurance matters and general litigation. Kerry currently serves as Chair of the Membership Committee and Member-at-Large for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. She is a past Young Lawyers Division chair, two-time recipient of BAMSL’s President’s Outstanding Service Award and two-time recipient of the YLD Award of Merit. Kerry is also an alumnus of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy. Kerry is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Nebraska Bar and is authorized to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Shawn M. Scharenborg works in the firm’s St. Louis office. Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001 and earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 2004. Shawn is a member of the Kansas and Missouri Bar and is authorized to practice in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Missouri.

Carolyn K. Hebert has been a licensed attorney since 1995 and is an associate attorney at Kozeny & McCubbin, LC, focusing on foreclosure and litigation matters in the Oklahoma office. Prior to joining the firm, Carolyn served as an Oklahoma County Assistant District Attorney and was also engaged as a private practice litigator trying both jury and bench trials for numerous years. Before receiving her Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1995, Carolyn spent five years as a patrol officer, and undercover agent assigned to a multi-jurisdictional drug task force team, in conjunction with the DEA in her home state of Wisconsin. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Oklahoma and the U.S. District of Western Oklahoma.
